Job Advertisement: Software Developer for Embedded Systems

Your role at Akkodis is to be a key player in the development and management of embedded safety-critical real-time operating systems. Together with a dedicated team, you will contribute to the creation and maintenance of safety-critical software for advanced military products, including existing and future combat aircraft. Your main tasks will include:

• Software development with responsibility for design, coding, debugging, and problem-solving.
• Verification of software at functional and system levels.
• Analysis and formulation of requirements.
• Integration and validation of software components and functions.
• Participation in knowledge transfer, documentation, and information exchange with the team and other partners.
• Continuous updates on new technologies in software and active sharing of knowledge with others.
• Participation in sprint planning and follow-up meetings to report progress in ongoing development projects.

Your Profile:

To succeed in this role, the following qualifications and characteristics are required:

• Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Understanding and knowledge of embedded systems and the interaction between software and hardware.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Analytical skills and proficiency in troubleshooting complex software issues.
• Attention to detail and an open attitude to ask questions.
• Genuine interest in continuous knowledge development and learning.
• Good command of Swedish and English.
• Several years of work experience in software development within embedded systems.
• Willingness and competence to work with both software design and verification, as well as the ability to write technical documentation.
• Drive and an open mindset to share knowledge and lessons learned with others.

Good knowledge in the following areas is advantageous:

• Low-level drivers (device drivers).
• Runtime systems.
• Low-level programming (C and assembly).
• Experience with ARM, PowerPC, and Intel processors.
• Knowledge of operating systems in general.
• Experience with real-time operating systems and/or real-time systems.
• Understanding of compilers and their structure.
