JOB DESCRIPTION

The primary role is a teaching assignment for grades 4-6, with a focus on mathematics education, as well as a three-year assignment as a lead teacher. After the three-year period, an extension for another three years may be relevant.

Teaching Assignment:

You will independently and together with your colleagues plan and follow up on your teaching. You will be a mentor for one of the groups in the middle school. In your pedagogical leadership, you have the ability to motivate students and are also attentive to their knowledge development and need for support. You have good collaboration skills and can structure your work. The tasks include:

• Teaching in class and mentorship.
• Planning teaching
• Evaluating teaching for good knowledge development
• Good leadership in the classroom
• Participating in quality and development work
• Assessment of knowledge development
• Documentation

Lead Teacher Assignment:

You will, at the principal's request, lead colleagues in the school's development work, with a particular focus on seeing the whole and different perspectives and taking active responsibility for the school's systematic quality work. Developing mathematics education in grades 4-6 is another area of focus. You are expected to lead cross-municipal forums such as subject networks. The tasks include:

• Based on the given assignment, take a specifically defined responsibility for the didactic development and the systematic quality work at the relevant unit and outside the unit, focusing on increased teaching quality and improved goal fulfillment for students.
• Hold subject responsibility/subject area responsibility and lead and drive local networks, subject networks, and similar networks.
• Actively participate in lead teacher networks.
• Promote formative, equitable, diverse, and fair assessment, being a role model for colleagues in the city.
• Apply, based on scientific grounds, proven experience, and an innovative approach, methods and working methods that make each student's learning visible.
• Organize accessible, challenging, and motivating learning environments, where new technology and digital learning tools are natural elements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Licensed primary school teacher
• Eligibility for grades 4-6 in mathematics/natural sciences and preferably another subject.
• At least 4 years of documented work experience
• To be considered for the lead teacher position, documentation of at least four years of well-documented teaching experience within one or more employment positions in the school system is required.
• Principal's commendation
• To be considered for the lead teacher position, an assessment from the principal showing particularly qualified teaching and tasks related to teaching is required.

OTHER

As an applicant for the lead teacher position, you need to submit a motivational text based on Landskrona city's template. If you are selected for an interview, the templates will be emailed to you at least one week before interview opportunity 1.

Interview 1 will be held on Friday, April 25th, between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

Interview 2 will be held on Wednesday, April 30th, between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

Trial lesson as a step in the qualification process will be conducted on Tuesday, May 6th, from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
