RESPONSIBILITIES

As a building permit coordinator, your responsibilities include:

Acting as a link between businesses, citizens, and municipal officials.
Providing clear communication and pedagogical guidance regarding regulations and requirements in the early stages.
Facilitating the construction process by helping stakeholders do the right thing before a formal application is submitted.
Coordinating and guiding in complex building permit processes.
Being available and providing quick, efficient service to businesses and citizens.
Explaining regulations in an understandable and pedagogical way.
Participating in case management as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

Post-secondary education, legal expert, construction engineer, building permit officer, building inspector, project manager, responsible for control, or equivalent.
Good communication skills and experience in customer dialogue.
Solution-oriented with an understanding of societal requirements for construction processes.
The ability to collaborate both internally within the municipality and externally with other authorities.
Experience with municipal processes is an advantage.
Knowledge of the Planning and Building Act is a plus.
