About the position

We are now looking for two nurses for our special accommodation for the elderly. One position is aimed at working in one of our departments for somatic care and the other position is for work in a department focused on cognitive impairment. In the role of nurse with us, you will work in a team with other nurses, care staff, and unit managers to create good and safe care. We have a strong sense of community in the group and there is collegial support in the nursing profession. The nursing group consists of experienced nurses led by a coordinating nurse.

In the evenings and weekends, we collaborate in an evening and weekend organization, which means you will move between different accommodations. As a nurse, you will then start from Rostahemmet.

Examples of work tasks:

• work based on the health and medical care process
• assess a need based on the nursing process, set a nursing diagnosis, establish goals, plan, implement, and evaluate the intervention
• initiate contact with other care providers as needed
• plan, organize, and lead the nursing work
• be responsible for clinical assessment, perform medical interventions, and contact higher medical competence if necessary
• ensure collaboration with other professions, partners, and relatives
• supervise care staff.

About the workplace

Ängen is located in the expanding Ladugårdsängen with proximity to green areas, a golf course, and the city. In the same building, in addition to our care and nursing home, there is a health center, memory reception, day rehabilitation, senior housing, group housing, family center, and physiotherapy. The Ängen building was completed in April 2011. Ängen's special accommodation for the elderly has 56 apartments distributed across four departments, two departments focused on somatic care and two departments for people with cognitive impairment.

Qualifications

As a nurse, you are secure, stable, and self-aware. You distinguish between the personal and professional. You take responsibility for your task and structure your approach. You work well with others and can relate in a way that is adapted to the situation. You will have a lot of contact with tenants, relatives, and staff, which requires you to be clear and smooth in your communication, and that you have a good attitude that creates trusting relationships. As a nurse, you easily adapt to changing circumstances. You remain composed in stressful situations and focus on the right things. You have the ability to understand someone else's perspective without taking on their feelings. Furthermore, you master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with individuals, relatives, and other staff. Since the work involves digital documentation in the operational system, good computer skills are required.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• licensed nurse
• driver's license B

Meritorious:

• documented experience of working as a nurse in municipal health and medical care
• advanced training in geriatrics or other equivalent that the employer deems appropriate (60 higher education credits)
