About the position

Södermalmshemmet consists of two buildings where the nursing group works across both houses. With us, you will have many colleagues who work closely with occupational therapists, nursing staff, administrators, and unit managers to provide our tenants and patients with a meaningful everyday life. We also have a close collaboration with Ängens healthcare center. You will be an important part of a team focused on providing our tenants with good living standards in their daily lives.

About the workplace

Södermalmshemmet is located in Södercity right next to the city center and is the largest special accommodation for the elderly in Örebro municipality with 108 places distributed over 12 groups. Ten departments focusing on cognitive impairment and two departments focusing on somatic issues. Here, professional categories such as nursing staff, nurses, occupational therapists, unit managers, and administrators work closely with relatives and tenants. Our ambition is to provide all our tenants with a safe and meaningful existence, based on the individual needs of the residents, and to tailor care and support according to those needs.

As a nurse at Södermalmshemmet, you will be part of the Health and Medical Care Organization (HS), where we gather all nurses and occupational therapists within the municipality's special accommodations for the elderly under one organization. This way, we can create better conditions, equitable care, and safeguard Örebro municipality's health and medical resources. For you as a nurse, this also means that you will have a supervisor who is a licensed professional and therefore well-versed in the issues you face in your work.

Qualifications

As a nurse, you are confident in yourself and have good self-awareness. You enjoy having your own areas of responsibility and take responsibility for your tasks in an independent and structured manner. Being attentive and accommodating in your interactions, both with colleagues and tenants, is a given for you. You are clear in your communication and have the ability to ensure that information gets through. You master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with tenants and other staff, as well as document what the operation requires. Since the work involves digital documentation in operational systems, good computer skills are required.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• experience working as a nurse
• experience working with the care of people with cognitive impairment
• knowledge and experience of working in documentation and operational systems
• driver's license B

Working hours: mainly days, some evenings and weekends.
