Lawyer Focused on Technical Regulations

Are you interested in technical regulations and want to help shape and understand how law interacts with the digital society? In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with challenging legal issues in a dynamic and development-oriented work environment!

We work with what everyone takes for granted – the ability to communicate. With us, we ensure that it works now and in the future, for everyone.

The unit for data access and data sharing is responsible for issues related to the European data strategy. The purpose of the strategy is to create a single market for data where information can flow freely within the EU, while protecting individuals' and businesses' data. The strategy is part of the EU's digital transformation and is complemented by regulations such as GDPR and the AI Regulation to create a sustainable and balanced digital economy.

"I, Emma Gunnesson, lead the unit. As a manager, I am trustworthy and believe in open collaboration without prestige. I work to create a safe and inclusive work environment where we work towards common goals while you have the space to take responsibility and grow in your role. With us, you will be part of an inclusive and engaged work environment where we respect each other, have fun together, and find a good balance between work and leisure."

About the Role

In the role of lawyer, you will work with legal investigations and assessments within the unit's areas of responsibility and conduct supervision of regulatory compliance. You will handle complaints and collaborate with both Swedish authorities and international actors within the EU to develop and implement common regulations. You will also participate in expert groups and projects that promote national and international harmonization, and you will have the opportunity to delve into technically complex regulations and issues related to the digital society. The position involves close collaboration in cross-functional groups and may include travel for external and international meetings.

About the Team

The team consists of dedicated and knowledgeable employees from various disciplines – lawyers, economists, and engineers. We work together towards common goals, where collaboration and sharing of expertise are in focus. Here, we thrive in a non-prestigious and supportive work environment, where we care for each other and benefit from our different areas of expertise.

About You

We are looking for someone with strong collaborative skills who contributes to creating a positive work environment. You are flexible and act selflessly in the face of change, allowing you to quickly adapt to new conditions and solutions. Furthermore, you are results-oriented with a strong focus on achieving set goals, and with your solution-oriented approach, you see opportunities instead of obstacles. Your personal qualities are important, so we will place great emphasis on these.

We are looking for you who have:

  • A law degree or equivalent.
  • Several years of relevant work experience in qualified legal work.
  • Experience in international collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English.

It is also an advantage if you have:

  • Experience and knowledge of public law.
  • Experience in EU law.
  • Work experience in interdisciplinary collaboration (e.g., with other professional categories or competencies).
  • Current work experience in supervisory work.

Our Offer

We take life seriously. With us, you can have a life both at work and outside of it. If you feel good, we feel good. Therefore, we offer competitive salaries, flexible working hours, and the possibility of remote work. We also have generous wellness benefits and two wellness hours every week.

In addition, you will receive favorable terms for lunch, vacation, parental leave, pension, and in case of illness. Here, you will work in modern activity-based premises at Hälsingegatan 38. As a government agency, we offer a safe and stable work environment where you can feel secure. We are creating tomorrow's society and must stay at the forefront. With us, you will continually grow with your tasks.

Good to Know

The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period of six months. Placement in Stockholm with a start as soon as possible by agreement. Your job title will be lawyer.

To ensure a fair and objective assessment of your qualifications, we ask you not to include a photo, personal identification number, or address in your CV. We have chosen not to request a cover letter as we instead use selection questions. This is to focus on your experience and qualifications, which contributes to a more efficient and fair recruitment process. Tests will be included in the process.
