In Gotland, there are special accommodations for the elderly in six locations under the management of Region Gotland.

We who work here have the mission to assist the elderly around the clock with various services. Nursing assistants, residential assistants, rehabilitation staff, and nurses work in teams to provide our users with the conditions to live a meaningful and dignified life. With the user at the center, we work with individual implementation plans, and the work is planned and carried out based on our values: trust, care, and participation.

Roma Elderly Care is a special accommodation located in central Gotland, about 20 kilometers from Visby. The accommodation has a total of 50 apartments, of which ten are for people with dementia. The facility was built in 2010 and has a modern living standard. We have about 60 employees, and the workplace is characterized by a lot of knowledge, commitment, and joy in work.

We are now looking for a nurse to join us.

Your responsibilities

As a nurse at Roma Elderly Care, in addition to patient-related work involving assessments, examinations, information, and advice, you will also be responsible for leading the daily nursing work in the organization.

Together with the unit manager, rehabilitation staff, nursing assistants, and residential assistants, you will participate in development work and work with quality assurance in the form of national quality registers.

Currently, we have a four-week schedule with weekend work every fourth weekend. The position currently includes only day shifts, and working hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. We have a close collaboration with Syréngården and Åvallegården, where we also cover for each other when needed.

Who are you?

You are a licensed nurse, preferably with specialist training focused on dementia and the elderly. A driver's license and access to a personal vehicle are required.

It is advantageous if you have experience in elderly care and working with quality registers such as Senior Alert, Palliative Register, and BPSD. Documentation is done in Treserva and Take Care.

As a person, you find it easy to build relationships, communicate, and collaborate with different professions. You have the ability to distinguish between the professional and the private and are secure both in yourself and in your professional role. You take initiative, are flexible, and can work under pressure while maintaining high quality through correct assessments and prioritizations. You have a broad perspective and plan your work effectively.

You also contribute to ensuring that the organization's goals and financial frameworks are followed. Since the work is close to the operations, it also means that you have a close and good contact with the residents and their relatives.
