Elderly Care Special Housing

In the management of Region Gotland, there are ten special housing facilities distributed across six different locations from Fårösund in the north to Klintehamn in the south.

The work is planned and carried out based on our core values: trust, care, and participation.

We are now looking for two nurses to strengthen all our elderly care facilities on the island. Since the position is new, there are great opportunities to help shape the role.

Your Responsibilities

As a reinforcement nurse, you will have the opportunity to work at all our units for shorter or longer periods. You will perform standard tasks in patient-related work with examinations, assessments, information, and advice where you independently apply the nursing process based on the patient's needs. You also play an important role in collaboration with the nursing staff by ensuring that the right interventions and activities are carried out.

As a nurse, you will be a key person in a group with many different competencies such as unit managers, nursing assistants, residential assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and doctors.

Working hours are daytime Monday to Friday with work every fourth weekend.

Who Are You?

You who are applying are a licensed nurse. A B driver's license is a requirement.

It is advantageous if you have specialist training focused on the elderly, experience in elderly care or similar operations, and have worked with quality registers such as Senior Alert, Palliative Register, and BPSD.

As you will be working in several different units, where routines and working methods may vary, flexibility and security in your professional role, a holistic view, and the ability to work independently are required. You have an easy time building relationships through a responsive and trustworthy approach. As a person, you are unpretentious, service-oriented, and quality-conscious, and you plan and prioritize your work efficiently.

You communicate clearly and understandably and are confident in the Swedish language. Since the work is close to operations, it also means that you have a close and good contact with the residents and their relatives. You have good computer skills and are well-versed in the Office suite.

We place great importance on personal competencies as described above.
