We are looking for someone who enjoys working for and with people. As a church caretaker, you will be an important face both internally and externally. You need to have a good sense of service, be solution-oriented, have good collaboration skills, and also be able to work independently.

We also want you to be relationship-building, organized, creative, and driven in your work.

You are used to taking responsibility and initiative. We wish that you have experience in meeting people in grief and can meet relatives with the empathy and care that the situation requires.

You are rooted in the faith and life of the Church of Sweden.

The position requires that you have basic computer skills as well as a driver's license and access to a car.

You have at least a high school diploma or equivalent that can be assessed as such.

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

The work team in Björna collaborates with the team in Mo, which means that some work will take place in Mo, especially during vacation periods. Together, there are about ten engaged employees close to both elected representatives and volunteers.

During the summer period, tasks within the funeral operations will also be included, such as mowing, planting, etc. As a church caretaker, you will also replace the cemetery manager in their absence.

Your tasks will include:

• Service during funerals, worship services, and other church activities, as well as preparing and setting up premises and managing the associated sound system.
• Cleaning in the parish house and church as well as simple maintenance and supervision.
• Responsible for external room bookings and related contact with tenants.
• Ice control and snow removal.
