Your Role

As a maintenance engineer with us at SAAB within the Dynamics business area, you will be an important part of our maintenance section. We are responsible for the maintenance of tools, equipment, and machines at our production site in Björkborn, Karlskoga. In close collaboration with production engineers, the quality department, and production staff, we work to ensure efficient and stable production.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with the entire lifecycle of our maintenance objects - from planning and execution to follow-up and optimization.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance in collaboration with production.
• Lead and manage troubleshooting during major operational disruptions.
• Collaborate with suppliers both nationally and internationally and plan on-site service interventions.
• Manage spare parts and orders as needed.
• Document and follow up on completed maintenance activities.
• Carry out modifications and updates of production equipment.
• Provide technical support and supervision of facilities.
• Conduct certain purchases related to maintenance and production.

The work is both independent and team-oriented, and you will have good opportunities to develop within a broad technical area. Travel in the service, both within and outside Sweden, may occur.

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

• Solid technical background in mechanics, pneumatics, and/or electronics, preferably with experience in troubleshooting and maintenance at the system and component level.
• Higher technical education or equivalent work experience in maintenance, production, or similar fields.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as documentation is done in both languages.
• The ability to manage several parallel projects and tasks in a structured and solution-oriented manner.
