Description

The County Administrative Board is looking for a project manager for the unit of animal welfare and food.

Your workplace will be at our office in Falun, but you will have the opportunity to work remotely. The employment is a fixed-term position until November 30, 2025, and the work is estimated to be about 200 hours during the employment period. Start as soon as possible by agreement.

Responsibilities

The County Administrative Boards organize national training days every other year for all employees working in the animal protection area. The training days are planned and organized by a working group with representatives from the County Administrative Boards and the Swedish Board of Agriculture as a co-organizer.

As a project manager, you will plan the training days and lead and distribute the work in the working group. You will work on behalf of the County Administrative Board of Dalarna but for all County Administrative Boards. The planning of the training days includes everything from timing and location to content and practical implementation. It also includes regularly checking in with the 28-network to anchor the planning with the respective County Administrative Boards' managers.

Qualifications

You should be well-versed in the animal protection work of the County Administrative Boards and what competencies are required of those working with animal protection matters.

You need to have relevant education that has provided you with knowledge about different animal species and various forms of animal husbandry focusing on companion animals, as well as knowledge of animal protection legislation. Relevant education includes the agricultural program, animal husbandry agronomy program, ethology and animal protection program, veterinary education, biology education, or environmental and health protection education with further training in animal protection.

For this role, we see that you need to have a good ability to plan and structure your work and keep a working group together. You also need to have good analytical skills and be comfortable with administrative work as well as being able to express yourself well in both speech and writing.

You have experience in planning and leading work around training days in somewhat larger contexts.

As an employee, you have the ability to take initiative and actively seek responsibility for tasks. Our complex operations require that you can view issues from different perspectives to make the right decisions. Together with your colleagues, you work towards common goals, and it is therefore a prerequisite that you are good at both collaborating and communicating with others.

Conditions

The employment is a fixed-term position until November 30, 2025, and the work is estimated to be about 200 hours during the employment period. Start as soon as possible by agreement.
