Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a motivated candidate interested in biophysics and imaging of living cells to work as a research engineer at Advanced Optical Bio-Imaging Laboratory (http://www.testalab.org) in Stockholm.

The job will focus on investigating various labeling strategies for quantitative super-resolution fluorescence microscopy of dynamics in living cells. The project will involve experimental work in biophysics and optics, such as microscope construction and usage. Microscopy-based analysis and image analysis will be important parts of the project, as well as imaging with state-of-the-art super-resolution microscopes.

The project will be conducted at the Department of Biophysics at KTH, located at SciLifeLab in Stockholm, a national hub for life science research with cutting-edge laboratories and a vibrant multidisciplinary environment.

• A completed degree at the undergraduate or advanced level (higher education) in the relevant field for the position or equivalent competence.
• Practical experience in optics.
• Organized mindset.
