The collections contain more than 11 million plants, animals, fungi, environmental samples, minerals, and fossils. All research and knowledge are shared in exhibitions, Cosmonova, and in activities at the museum and digitally.
We are now looking for a deputy unit manager for the zoology unit who will play a key role in leading and developing our operations.

As a deputy unit manager, you will perform overall management tasks together with, and by delegation from, the unit manager. Your responsibilities include leading parts of the collection activities, being responsible for parts of the unit's staff, budget, and work environment, as well as planning, leading, and following up on the unit's work based on the agency's mission, vision, strategic plan, and goals.
You will be a role model, inspire and motivate colleagues, and work towards a positive work environment. Your tasks also include participating in recruitment, introduction, instruction, evaluation, and development of staff, as well as managing any conflicts. Furthermore, you will represent the employer and implement the agency's priorities within the unit's areas of operation, coordinate parts of the unit's assignments from authorities and other clients, and promote increased collaboration within the research and collections department and between the agency's other departments.
The work also involves participating in other activities within the agency. The position includes acting as a deputy for the unit manager and is part of the museum's management forum. Project management across all areas of operation within the unit may also be included.
