Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant is one of the largest electricity producers in Sweden, generating one-sixth of the electricity consumed in the country. Nuclear power has a very low fossil footprint and is a stable and weather-independent energy source. About the Role

Do you want to work with electrical design in a workplace where collaboration and problem-solving are part of your daily routine? Do you want to contribute to Sweden's fossil-free electricity supply? We are looking for electrical engineers for Forsmark Kraftgrupp!

As an electrical engineer in high and low voltage, you will be responsible for the design of electrical systems. You will work on design assignments in both larger and smaller projects in the areas of relay protection, transformers, generators, power electronics, batteries, switchgear, frequency converters, and electric motors. You will have the chance to take on exciting challenges and problem-solving in a dynamic and collaborative environment, and you will be offered a varied and developing job where you work both independently and as a valuable part of a team.

Many of our projects involve close collaboration with colleagues from different areas of expertise, giving you a broad overall understanding and the opportunity to contribute your expertise in cross-functional teams. You will play a central role in project implementation, supporting assembly, testing, and commissioning, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

To help you transition into the role effectively, we offer mentorship, where you will receive support and guidance from experienced colleagues. We also provide a broad training program and opportunities for internships in other units to broaden your skills and develop in your role.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop design documentation for new technical solutions in our facility modifications
  • Write dimensioning and calculation reports
  • Work with technical requirements in procurement documents and participate in supplier contacts
  • Provide technical support to operations and maintenance departments during disturbances in the facility

Requirements

We prefer that you have:

  • A degree in engineering or a technical field, preferably in electrical engineering, or a high school education with work experience in the technical field.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and good knowledge of English.

It is an advantage if you also have:

  • Experience working in nuclear technology.
  • Experience as an electrical designer.
