Academic Resource is looking for an Automation Engineer for Cytiva. The position is a full-time employment and a long-term consulting assignment, with the possibility of recruitment by the client company. Start immediately or as agreed.
About the position
As an Automation Engineer, you will lead and perform activities to ensure automation functionality, support projects for new production sites, develop automation strategies, and collaborate with system suppliers to optimize operator experience and production efficiency. You will belong to the System Support department within Manufacturing Engineering, which is part of our client's large-scale chemical production operations in Uppsala.
Qualifications
• Degree from a college or university in a relevant field, or equivalent experience from a similar role in automation.
• You need to have solid knowledge of DCS (distributed control system), preferably ABB 800xA.
• Knowledge of system integration.
• It is important that you are proficient in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. You should also have an interest and the ability to travel to Muskegon, USA, for project work.
Meritorious
It is advantageous if you have previous experience from the process industry, support operations, or active system management. A broad network within the industry and knowledge of systems such as Unicorn, PAS-X, and Oracle is also beneficial. Experience working in a global organization with multiple control systems and a strong interest in digitization can further strengthen your application. A solution-oriented and service-minded attitude is something we value highly.
