Do you want to work with advanced Linux infrastructure in an exciting and developing environment? We are looking for a driven and solution-oriented Linux Server Technician who wants to be part of our team and contribute to the stable and secure operation of our systems.

We are looking for

We are looking for someone with a relevant university or college degree, or equivalent education and experience that we consider equivalent. You have good knowledge of Server/Storage, Linux server operating systems, and database technology, and you have experience with scripting and automation, preferably with tools such as Bash, Python, Ansible, Powershell, or similar. You are proficient in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Furthermore, you have at least three years of experience in Linux system administration and experience working with Linux distributions such as RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian, or SUSE.

It is an advantage if you have certifications such as RHCSA or RHCE (Red Hat Certified System Administrator / Engineer), LPIC-1, LPIC-2, or LPIC-3 (Linux Professional Institute Certification), as well as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator if cloud services are used in your work environment. If you have experience as a Kubernetes Certified Administrator (CKA) and have worked in container-based environments, we see this as a benefit. Knowledge of cloud services (IaaS/PaaS), Windows server operating systems, and system monitoring tools is also advantageous, as well as experience with infrastructure as code, for example, with tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

Experience working in large, complex, and mission-critical IT environments, as well as experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, is advantageous. Furthermore, we see it as a plus if you have experience in database management, for example, MySQL or PostgreSQL, as well as a good understanding of network protocols and firewall configurations. Experience with web servers and application servers such as Apache, Nginx, and Tomcat is also beneficial.

We place great importance on your personal qualities. We are looking for someone who is self-driven and takes responsibility for driving their own work forward, while being structured and able to plan and organize their tasks effectively. You have a good overall perspective, which allows you to understand the context and see the long-term effects of your decisions and actions. You have strong problem-solving skills and are a strong team player who enjoys collaborating with others.

What you will work with

In this role, you will work with installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux servers, such as RHEL, Ubuntu, and Debian. You will handle automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform to streamline and simplify system administration. Your work will also include monitoring, log management, and performance optimization to ensure that the systems operate efficiently. Furthermore, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving server and network-related issues, as well as managing security updates and patch management to keep the systems secure and up to date.

Part of your work will involve documenting configurations and processes to ensure a structured and efficient work environment. You will also provide support and collaborate closely with the development team and other IT functions to ensure that all systems are optimally configured and functioning as they should.
