As a project manager with us, you will play a central role in leading and driving our assignments forward. You are responsible for creating a trusting partnership with the client and leading and coordinating the team to ensure that contractual requirements and goals are met. You manage the entire assignment – from finances and timelines to effective collaboration between railway technical disciplines and design.

You will, among other things:

• Lead and coordinate the team to ensure that project goals are achieved.
• Be responsible for financial management, timelines, and deliveries according to the assignment description.
• Build and maintain good relationships with clients and designers.
• Ensure collaboration between railway technical disciplines and effective design.
• Conduct investigations.
• Conduct reviews and ensure that requirements and regulations are followed.
• Collaborate in bidding and startup work.
• Prepare system documents, construction documents, and request for proposals.

You will work with our wonderful team in Uppsala, Stockholm, Västerås, or Norrköping and collaborate digitally with our other colleagues from our other locations in Sweden as well as internationally. You will also receive support from our PMO team (Project Management Office), which works to provide all project managers with the best possible conditions for success.

About you

We are looking for someone who is responsible, solution-oriented, and driven by results. You handle challenges and unforeseen situations with calm and ensure that the delivery is on time and of high quality. You create trust through your leadership and have a natural ability to build and nurture relationships both internally and externally, while ensuring that everyone works towards common goals. Furthermore, you have a flexible approach and navigate smoothly through changing conditions.

Qualifications

• Civil and/or university engineer with a focus on railway or technology, or have acquired knowledge in another way.
• Good experience in document management within the design process up to completed construction documents.
• Several years of experience as a design manager, project manager, or in a similar leadership role, with documented good results in railway projects.
• Experience in multidisciplinary projects
• Experience in the consulting role
• Knowledge of AMA including MER (Measurement and Compensation Rules).
• Familiarity with ABK 09, AB 04, and ABT 06.
• Familiarity with bidding documents in FU: UF, UK, and UB.
• Very good knowledge of the Office package.
• Very good knowledge of both Swedish and English in speech and writing.

Location and other information

We offer a permanent position at SYSTRA AB, starting by agreement. You will be based in one of our offices in Stockholm (we have offices both in the south and north), Uppsala, Västerås, or Norrköping, but we also offer the flexibility to work remotely a few days a week. Travel may occur in the course of work.
