The municipality of Uppsala is growing, and to ensure sustainable community development and secure delivery of Uppsala Water's services, the company has an extensive investment portfolio with several exciting projects ongoing and planned for the next 10 years.

About the position

As a designer, you are responsible for carrying out the planning of the planned renewal and expansion of the water and sewage pipeline network, as well as project managing the implementation. You work according to and follow Uppsala Water's internal project process, and the tasks include:

• Prepare documents according to project directives and technical manuals
• Establish project plans and use the project tool Antura
• Manage deviations/change notifications
• Calculate dimensions of water and sewage facilities
• Draw/design in CAD and Novapoint
• Control via Ledningskollen
• If necessary, call on contractors/services from framework agreements
• Control and follow-up during the construction period
• Financial follow-up
• Write final reports and archive documents according to routines
• Internal and external contacts, e.g., with the municipality, property owners, and authorities

As a designer, you have a broad role where you take overall responsibility for complex projects within planned renewal and expansion of the water and sewage pipeline network. You will become part of our team of designers, consisting of eight employees working with planning and construction management. Within the group, there is good cohesion and camaraderie. You report to the section manager and have your workplace in our newly renovated premises in Uppsala Business Park or Librobäck, with the possibility of remote work. Qualifications

• Education in water and sewage planning or equivalent education
• Several years of experience as a designer of water and sewage pipelines, preferably with more than five years of work experience
• Experience with CAD, Autocad, and Novapoint

Meritorious

• Training in BAS P
• Experience in project management
• Experience with ABK09, ABT06, and AB04

Other information

A large part of our operations is classified as critical infrastructure as we supply drinking water to Sweden's fourth largest city. For this position, a security review with a background check will be conducted before employment. You should also be prepared to be assigned to a role within Uppsala Water and Waste's role in total defense. Uppsala Water applies a 6-month probationary period.
