Job Description:

Are you a dedicated and skilled professional who wants to work in the blood bank at Odda Hospital? As the Lead Biomedical Laboratory Scientist in the blood bank, you will play a key role at Odda Hospital, which is part of Helse Fonna. Odda is located in Ullensvang municipality, a region known for its breathtaking nature.

The blood bank is accredited according to ISO 15189 and works closely with the Department of Immunology and Transfusion Medicine. The working hours are in a two-shift rotation, but we can accommodate a daytime position if that suits you better.

Work Assignments:

Responsibility for blood collection, production, and blood type serology at Odda Hospital
Follow-up on routines and procedures for analysis, collection, production, and distribution of blood products at Odda Hospital
Contact person for Hemovigilance
Responsibility for performing cell reception control
Ordering supplies within the field
Participate in the laboratory's routine operations

Qualifications:

Norwegian authorization as a biomedical laboratory scientist
Proficiency in written and spoken Norwegian
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a biomedical laboratory scientist in transfusion medicine is desirable
