About the position
We are looking for someone who wants to work as a field inventoryer during the 2025 season. You will work in the field with inventories of vascular plants, assessments of vegetation, and various conservation projects. There will also be office work involving preliminary studies and knowledge compilations. Depending on your skill set, other tasks may also be included in your work.
You will be part of a project-based team of consultants with various competencies in ecology. We work individually or in groups depending on the nature of the assignments, and junior consultants are supported by experienced colleagues in their work. The assignments may require you to be away from home for extended periods in connection with projects in other locations.
You are expected to carry out various types of fieldwork in the projects both independently and together with others. Other tasks include communication with clients as well as administration and follow-up according to our project routines. The work also involves planning the execution of assignments and reporting data. The job as an environmental consultant also entails ongoing work to create and build good client relationships and actively work for high client satisfaction.
As part of Calluna's large team of experts in forestry, land, and water, you will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the country's most knowledgeable and experienced consultants in natural environments and sustainability, and you will be involved in interesting and meaningful projects that are part of societal development.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who wants to work as a field inventoryer during the 2025 season and enjoys working in teams and spending a lot of time outdoors.
You must have:
- Studied or be studying at the master's level in biology, ecology, conservation, or equivalent (other degrees such as environmental science, forestry, landscape architecture, agronomy, horticulture, etc. may also be interesting if you have a strong interest and experience in conservation).
- A valid driver's license (B).
- Good computer skills.
- Swedish as a working language.
- Good physical condition for movement in the field.
It is advantageous if you have:
- Expertise in species protection issues.
- Previous experience with GIS programs or GIS field applications.
- Knowledge of vascular plants.
- Experience in inventorying invasive alien species.
- Specialization in other taxonomic groups.
- Knowledge of SIS methodology for nature value inventory.
Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities where we are looking for someone with strong drive and initiative, who can work independently while also having good collaboration skills. Other valued qualities include a focus on results, flexibility, and commitment.

Location:
Calluna has offices in several locations in Sweden. Please specify in your application which of our offices you prefer as your place of work.
The position:
The position is a part-time employment at 100% during the field season (May–August or as agreed). There are good chances for extension.
Travel and working hours:
The work involves some travel and requires certain flexibility regarding working hours, so you need to be prepared and willing to work far from your home location for periods.
Start date:
May/June 2025 or as agreed.
