BUP Stockholm Section Neuropsychiatry consists of BUP En väg in, as well as 7 neuropsychiatric clinics: Nordost, Nordväst, Sydost, Väst 1 and Väst 2, as well as Sydväst and Sydväst 2. The mission is urgent and shared: to assess and treat children and young people with neuropsychiatric difficulties. Here, doctors, psychologists, nurses, medical secretaries, and managers collaborate to provide our patients with accessible, efficient, and patient-focused care. The work environment at BUP Neuropsychiatry is characterized by a development-oriented approach, high competence, and quality.

The units work with medical treatment, assessments, and investigations where the issue is neuropsychiatric difficulties.

Job Description

As a licensed physician, your main tasks will be to initiate medical treatment after the assessment is completed, under the supervision of a specialist physician at the clinic, and to follow up on the effects in a team with a nurse. Depending on previous experience, you will also work on neuropsychiatric assessments together with a psychologist, under supervision. You will support colleagues at treatment conferences and in the assessment of cases from your professional perspective as a doctor.

Qualifications

You must be a licensed physician and have clinical work experience from the field. You are accustomed to working according to new research and with evidence-based methods.

Employment Type

Fixed-term employment, 6 months with the possibility of extension. Start date as soon as possible, by agreement.

BUP Neuropsychiatry is part of BUP Stockholm. BUP Stockholm offers specialized psychiatric care for children and adolescents aged 0 to 17 in Stockholm County. We are part of the Stockholm County Healthcare Services (SLSO), which is a healthcare provider within Region Stockholm. In patient-facing work within Stockholm County Healthcare Services:

• A register check is applied before a decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
• Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required, in addition to a Swedish professional license. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
