Vacancy: Responsible Nurse/Therapist for EWA Clinic
Dependency Center Stockholm is Sweden's largest dependency clinic. We offer support and assistance to people who have problems with alcohol, drugs, medication, or gambling. Our operations include acute and inpatient care, local outpatient care, and highly specialized care. We are also a clinic that provides university healthcare as well as research and education.
The EWA clinic is an outpatient clinic targeting women with alcohol use disorder. A majority of those we meet also have other psychiatric comorbidities. Common conditions besides alcohol dependence are post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depressive states, and neuropsychiatric diagnoses. The clinic is centrally located at Rosenlund Hospital.
The Workplace
A beloved and loyal colleague of ours is moving on to another position within our organization, and we are looking for a substitute for her. We are a stable team of doctors, therapists, psychologists, and nurses who together have both long-standing and broad expertise. Our work is characterized by a strong consensus on the importance of person-centered and evidence-based care based on the individual patient's changing needs. We are looking for a colleague who wants to contribute additional experiences to continue improving the care of our patient group. For both occupational health and patient safety reasons, we place great emphasis on teamwork. We hold treatment conferences weekly and recurring during the term, we work on knowledge deepening based on specific themes (previous term themes have included suicidality, sexual health, and eating disorders).
The Work
You will be the responsible nurse/therapist for a portion of the clinic's patients. Based on the individual patient's needs and wishes, our tasks include motivational and therapeutic conversations (individual and group), medication treatment, assessments regarding withdrawal and suicide risk, contact with relatives, other healthcare providers, and other authorities. In all this work, you will naturally have support from the entire team. Often, the patient has parallel contact with, for example, doctors or psychologists here. At our clinic, it is always welcome to come in to a colleague for advice.

To thrive at our clinic, you need:
- Experience and a desire to work independently in complex patient meetings.
- Feel comfortable asking for support.
- Good teamwork skills.

Therefore, we would appreciate it if you have a desire to stay with us for a longer period.
