ICA Ringen is a well-established store in Ringen Centrum on Södermalm, with high ambitions regarding quality, assortment, and the food experience. Our bread department is a key part of the store's fresh food profile, and every day we offer our customers a wide range of freshly baked bread and carefully selected products from reputable bakeries.

We are now looking for an Assistant Department Manager - Bread who wants to work closely with the Department Manager and help further develop the department.

About the Role

As Assistant Department Manager, you are a key person in daily operations. You work operationally with all tasks in the department and serve as a close support to the Department Manager in planning, ordering, and ongoing operations.

In the department, we bake most of our bread from frozen doughs that are thawed, proofed overnight, and baked in-store. Together with a carefully selected assortment from external bakeries, we create an inspiring bread department with high quality and great variety.

When the Department Manager is not on site, you take overall responsibility for the department. You ensure that product flow, ordering, display, and daily operations run smoothly and contribute to maintaining high quality every day.

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in bread, sales, and retail. You are engaged, responsible, and thrive in a role where you combine practical work with greater responsibility for daily operations.

You work in a structured manner, take initiative, and easily identify what needs to be done. For you, order, quality, and professional customer service are second nature. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are motivated by working together with your colleagues to create an inspiring department and a first-class customer experience.

Previous experience in bakery work, bread departments, or grocery retail is advantageous, as is experience in team leadership or department management.
