The Joint Management Administration consists of the areas of Democracy & Service, Economy & Procurement, Working Life & Digital Technology, Strategic Urban Planning, Rescue Services & Security, and the Support Staff.

The administration is tasked with leading, supporting, and coordinating the entire municipal organization on behalf of the Municipal Executive Board. This is done by focusing on the customer's needs, maintaining a holistic view, and using common working methods. We are a learning organization that promotes innovation and learning from both the external world and each other.

The IT Unit in Motala Municipality is responsible for the municipality's digital infrastructure, which supports the municipality's operations and residents every day. We work together with the operations to develop, manage, and secure a modern, stable, and purposeful IT environment that creates operational benefits in everyday life.

WORK ASSIGNMENTS

As an IT Architect, you have a key role in the municipality's development journey. You contribute to creating a cohesive, secure, and long-term sustainable IT environment where technology and operations develop in interaction. You manage and apply IT and architecture principles and assess new solutions based on operational benefits, integrations, information security, management, and technical complexity.

You support projects, procurements, system owners, and steering groups with architectural assessments and recommendations. An important part of the assignment is to counteract local special solutions, promote standardization, and contribute to target architecture and well-founded technical choices. You also ensure that operational needs, information, applications, and technical platforms are developed from a coherent and sustainable holistic perspective.

An important part of the assignment is to serve as the strategic and tactical support for the Social Services Administration from the IT Unit. You collaborate closely with the operations to translate needs into sustainable digital solutions. You act as a unifying force between the Social Services Administration, the IT Unit, suppliers, and other central functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have:

• Relevant academic education in e.g., system/computer science, engineering education with a focus on IT/technology, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
• Several years of experience as an IT Architect or a corresponding strategic IT role.
• Experience in operational development and digitalization.
• Experience in architecture work, e.g., developing target architecture, architecture principles, solution assessments, or technical choices.
• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

We would appreciate it if you also have:

• Good understanding of information security, data protection, integrations, system management, and lifecycle management.
• Experience from the public sector or municipal operations.
• Experience with Enterprise Architecture, TOGAF, or other architecture frameworks.
• Experience with process-oriented working methods, e.g., ITIL.
