About the Department

The County Pediatric Department is a specialized pediatric service for children and young people aged 0–17 within both outpatient and inpatient care. The assignment includes assessment and treatment at the clinic (emergency and scheduled), day care, ward care (neonatal and general pediatric care), and home healthcare (SSIH). The county department has four wards with a total of 34 beds, primarily for pediatric patients, but also provides beds for patients from other departments such as orthopedics, surgery, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (BUP), and occasionally adult patients to relieve pressure on adult care. Outpatient services are located in four towns: Sollefteå, Härnösand, Sundsvall, and Örnsköldsvik. Inpatient services are located in Sollefteå, Sundsvall, and Örnsköldsvik, where we also offer play therapy for our patients. The department has a total of approximately 200 employees and is led by a department manager, eight unit managers, and two physicians with medical leadership responsibilities. To our physician unit in Sundsvall, we are now seeking a resident physician (underläkare). The position is a full-time temporary assignment for 6 months, with a start date to be agreed upon.

Responsibilities

We offer a position as a resident physician in pediatrics, which naturally meets all requirements set by the National Board of Health and Welfare. You will be offered a good introduction and an individual training plan.

We place great emphasis on a good working environment and quality education. As a specialty trainee physician (ST-läkare) with us, you will continuously undergo training in pediatrics. We also have an internal training program and simulation exercises in collaboration with other professional categories.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who

• Is a licensed physician
• Has good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Has a valid driver's license (Category B)
