About the Role

The Speech and Language Therapy Clinic within the Primary Healthcare Area West is located at Sollefteå Hospital. The staff at the clinic includes occupational therapists, physiotherapists, physiotherapists (medical gymnastics), counselors, dietitians, and speech and language therapists. Here, we help both children and adults with speech and language disorders, oral motor disorders, and swallowing difficulties.

We are now looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date to be agreed upon.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, diagnose, and treat children and adults with speech and language disorders, oral motor disorders, and swallowing difficulties.
• Inform, instruct, supervise, and educate patients, relatives, and staff.
• Test and prescribe aids to facilitate communication and swallowing.
• Participate in relevant team and patient conferences.
• Care documentation.

The main areas of work for this position are child language, language assessments, and inpatient care, but we are also open to dialogue regarding this. Some remote work opportunities are available.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed Speech and Language Therapist.
• Has good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you:

• Have work experience as a Speech and Language Therapist in a hospital setting.
