Description of Duties

As a Treatment Specialist, you work with approved assistance (SoL/LVM), interventions without needs assessment, and service conversations. You work closely with colleagues within social services, healthcare, and other collaborating partners to create sustainable solutions for the individual.

In the role of Treatment Specialist, you work with support and treatment interventions for adults living with harmful substance use or addiction, as well as individuals who are victims of or perpetrate violence in close relationships. The work is carried out both individually and in groups and includes motivational work, counseling, supportive conversations, and treatment interventions. Part of the work is also outreach and support for relatives. The work is primarily during daytime hours, but some evening shifts may occur. You are also expected to contribute to the development of the operations.

Qualifications

You have a university degree, e.g., in social work, social/behavioral sciences, or another education that we assess as suitable for the position.

You have experience working with harmful substance use, addiction, and/or violence in close relationships.

Further education is meritorious, such as conversations about freedom, conversations about violence, relapse prevention, MI (Motivational Interviewing), and CRA/A-CRA. If you have education in FREDA and/or PATRIARK, this is seen as meritorious. We use the documentation system Journal Digital, and experience with it is viewed positively.

A Category B driver's license is a requirement as you will be driving as part of the job.
