Fazer AB is now looking for an engaged and competent Environmental and Sustainability Specialist to join our team in Tingsryd. In this important role, you will play a central part in our efforts to achieve the highest standards for environmental protection and sustainability. We are looking for a person with a strong passion for environmental issues who wants to contribute to the development of efficient and sustainable processes within the food industry.

About the role

As an Environmental and Sustainability Specialist, you will work to ensure that we comply with current environmental legislation and meet our sustainability goals. You will be responsible for both short-term and long-term planning and reporting of environmental activities, as well as driving the development of our environmental processes. The role requires close collaboration with various departments and an active presence in factory operations to lead and implement changes effectively.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, the following qualifications are required:

• A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field (mandatory).
• At least 3 years of experience in the environmental and sustainability sector, preferably within the food industry or similar operations (mandatory).
• Documented experience with ISO 14001 and compliance with environmental legislation (mandatory).
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written (mandatory).
• Experience from the food industry, dairy, plant-based products, or chemical industry (meritorious).

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for monthly reporting within energy, environment, and sustainability.
• Develop and implement short-term and long-term environmental activities.
• Conduct root cause analyses and environmental risk assessments of chemicals and raw materials.
• Monitor the company's impact on the external environment and report operational disruptions to supervisory authorities as needed.
• Responsible for follow-up of periodic inspections, supervision, and audits.
• Participate in the implementation of an energy management system according to ISO 50001.
• Develop and disseminate knowledge about the company's environmental and energy management systems to employees.
