Väghyveltjänst Peter Gunnarsson AB is an established company based in Storvik, Sandviken, and is part of the Bellman Group AB. Väghyveltjänst rents out construction machinery with operators to clients and specializes in road maintenance and road construction using road planers and crawler tractors. The company also performs snow removal and sanding during the winter. The company operates primarily in Central Sweden and is hired by municipalities, operating areas, industries, and construction and forestry companies. Revenue is currently around 40 million SEK/year with 10 employed vehicle drivers.

About the Role

We are now looking for an accountant who will be responsible for accounting and administration at Väghyveltjänst. You will report to both the CEO and the Financial Controller for the East Region.

The role involves responsibility for financial and administrative matters at Väghyveltjänst. The position can also be part-time, which is open for discussion.

The role is broad and varied, and we are looking for you who are analytical, data-driven, and thrive in a smaller entrepreneurial company with strong values.

The company is located in Storvik, Sandviken, and you will be working in modern, beautiful, and newly renovated premises.

Main Responsibilities

The position is a key role within Väghyveltjänst where your task is to report, analyze, improve, and support the CEO and the entire company in financial and administrative matters. The role includes among other things:

• Continuous bookkeeping and reconciliations
• Accounts Payable: handle invoices, payments, and approval workflows
• Accounts Receivable: create and send invoices, reminders, and follow-ups
• Monthly closing and reporting to the CEO and the group
• Preparations for the annual accounts and contact with the auditor
• Handling of VAT, employer's contributions, and tax declarations
• Payroll administration: payroll runs, expense reports, per diems
• Budget monitoring and simpler economic analyses
• General office administration
• Contact with suppliers, customers, and authorities
• Updating internal registers, agreements, and policy documents
• Responsibility for simpler HR administration (employment contracts, onboarding, absence reporting)

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for you with a solid education and/or experience within economics and administration.

To succeed in the role, you have several years of broad knowledge within economics and accounting. You have worked with and are familiar with accounting, VAT, and tax regulations as well as basic IFRS. You have previously worked close to the business, are used to and enjoy being both operational and strategic. If you also have experience from the construction/contracting industry, it is an extra advantage. Good familiarity with administrative tasks and structure.

We see that you are a strong communicator with good social skills. You have good organizational skills and are well-versed in business functions.

You are professional, unpretentious, and perform at a high level.
