"I am the hiring manager, Lena Hägg, and our unit drives road projects and consists of 13 employees. The unit comprises project managers and project engineers with high engagement, broad collective competence, and a good mix of gender, age, and experience. ResponsibilitiesAs a project manager, you work with steering, leading, and coordinating road projects. You are responsible for ensuring the project is carried out based on the decided scope and within defined time and cost frameworks. You work closely with project engineers and lead one or more project groups consisting of specialists, consultants, and contractors. In most contexts, you are at the center of issues concerning the project. In your role as project manager, you distribute the work between internal support resources and specialists as well as external suppliers.
In this role, you also have contact with the public, as well as municipalities, other authorities, and the media. As a project manager here, you lead varied projects concerning, for example, new construction and reconstruction of roads, public transport measures, pedestrian and cycle paths, etc.
Your DevelopmentFor you as a project manager at the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket), the development opportunities are great. You will belong to one of Sweden's largest client organizations, and the collective project management competence among our approximately 1,000 project managers is unique. As a project manager, you have access to various forums for experience exchange, networks, and training.

Who are you?
We are looking for you who have good cooperation skills and who create trusting relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and other stakeholders. You communicate clearly and adapt your message to the recipient and situation. Furthermore, you have good leadership skills and the ability to drive projects forward by creating engagement, structure, and clarity. In addition, you have good analytical problem-solving skills.
We are looking for you who
- have a university or college education of at least 180 hp (120p) in road, construction, or urban planning, or alternatively other education and experience that Trafikverket deems equivalent
- have a few years of current and relevant work experience as a project manager, assignment manager, or site manager, or alternatively other experience that Trafikverket deems equivalent
- have current and relevant work experience in being responsible for budget and economic follow-up
- have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
- have a driver's license for a passenger car
It is meritorious if you
- have current and relevant work experience in project management within road construction, or alternatively other experience that Trafikverket deems equivalent
- have current and relevant work experience with AB, ABK, or ABT (standard contract forms)
- have current and relevant negotiation experience within contracts
