Imagine being part of the change in how Sweden travels, moves, and connects. As a Project Manager with us, you take a central role in the forefront of societal development – in projects that are visible, needed, and impact people's daily lives. This involves modernizing railways and implementing technical measures that strengthen our transport infrastructure over time. With high investment levels and a strong project portfolio, we are part of Region Sydöstra – where it all happens.

Responsibilities

What you will do

You lead complex infrastructure projects from concept to reality – and you do it together with competent colleagues and engaged partners. You are responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and with high quality, but you are also a culture carrier and problem solver in a daily work life where change is part of the job.

Examples of what you can drive:

  • Track replacements, switches, electrification, and overhead contact lines
  • Improved level crossings and upgrading of signaling systems
  • Major system interventions to make the railway faster, safer, and more accessible

You often drive several projects in parallel – but you do so with support. You get to work with proven project models, a strong internal network, and colleagues who both can and want to share their knowledge. Here you find the structure of a large organization – but also the freedom to truly shape your role and your projects.

Qualifications

A secure leader who listens, clarifies, and creates engagement! You thrive in collaboration and building good relationships – both within the team and with external parties. You are structured, see the big picture, and find solutions when conditions change. And above all – you want to make a difference. You have strong personal drive, and your leadership is characterized by inspiring, creating involvement, clarifying direction, and delivering results. You build trust in our operations and create good collaborations through your excellent communication skills, meaning you are attentive and clear. To succeed in this role, you also need strong analytical abilities with a holistic perspective.

We are looking for you who have:

  • A university or college degree of at least 180 hp (120 p) in a field relevant to the position, or equivalent competence acquired through experience that we assess as equivalent.
  • Several years of current and relevant experience working as a project manager or similar within construction/infrastructure projects.
  • Very good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
  • Driver's license for passenger cars.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience of project work in the planning phase from consultancy or municipal or state operations.
  • Experience of project work in the production phase from contractors and/or municipal or state operations.
  • Experience of project management within one or more of the areas of planning, procurement, design, and/or production with a focus on railways.
  • Current and relevant experience from working with the XLPM project model or equivalent experience that we assess as equivalent.
  • Knowledge within contract law (AB, ABK, ABT).
