About Us

The Infection and Lung Clinic is a county clinic specializing in infectious and lung diseases, as well as specialized adult allergy care. Our inpatient ward has 18 designated care beds, where we treat adult patients with both acute and chronic conditions, as well as some children.

We work in care teams, with each team caring for 6-7 patients. We work in a team with nursing assistants and doctors. We have paramedical staff attached to the department, meal servers, and pharmaceutical support. Change and development work are of great importance to us, and we strive to ensure that everyone feels involved in the department's goals.

Your Responsibilities

We provide care around the clock, receiving patients from the region's emergency departments, specialist clinics, and other regions. As a nurse here, you lead, prioritize, and evaluate nursing care, as well as handle medications. Medical technical tasks such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, high-flow therapy, and drainage are also part of the role. The job includes supervising students and new staff together with our lead supervisors. Since we treat both chronic and acute conditions, the workload and pace may vary during shifts.

Your Qualifications

We welcome you if you are a registered nurse. Previous experience from inpatient care is considered an asset.

We expect you to be organized to handle and prioritize varied tasks. You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, as documentation and conversations are part of the duties.

Support for You

When you start working with us, you will receive an introduction tailored to you. There is an option for a five-week introduction, where four weeks are patient-focused and one week is dedicated to finding routines and practicing medical technical tasks. You will be offered a mentor to increase your sense of security and to help you develop in your role as a nurse. We have care leaders who work with routines, change initiatives, and training.

Employment Type

Permanent position with start date as agreed.
Working hours are scheduled for days and evenings, weekdays and weekends. Night work may occur.
