Finspång Municipality's meal service consists of 21 kitchens of varying sizes, where you will become part of a team of chefs and meal assistants who together prepare delicious and nutritious meals for children, young people, and the elderly.

The meal service actively works with internal training, including special diets.

We offer a permanent full-time position with working hours during the day and weekend shifts every third weekend.

Your future responsibilities

As a resource chef with us, you have a very important role. In your position, you work in all our kitchens, usually following long-term planning but sometimes with short notice. Depending on the kitchen, you prepare meals for preschools, schools, elderly care, and meal boxes. Sometimes you work in a large group, and sometimes you work alone.

In Finspång Municipality, primary schools are always served two main dishes, one of which is vegetarian, along with a vegetable bar with at least four different components. The meal service strives to work sustainably by reducing food waste, using organic food, and seasonal locally sourced ingredients. As a resource chef in Finspång Municipality, you help create good habits among our guests by offering modern, delicious, varied, and nutritious food.

Who are you?

You are a trained chef with experience from large-scale kitchens or restaurants (specialized knowledge in your field is a plus).

You have good knowledge of special diets and consistencies.

You have a genuine interest in food and a strong passion for healthy cooking from scratch.

You collaborate well with others and enjoy interacting with colleagues and guests.

You are positive, competent, responsive, and flexible, putting your guests at the center.

You are passionate about developing the business together with your colleagues based on given conditions.

You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

You are computer literate, as many contacts are handled via email and several tasks are performed digitally.
