The Meal Service is part of the Service Sector and operates 21 production and reception kitchens.

We are now looking for a Meal Assistant for primary school students, from preschool class to year 9, in Finspång Municipality.

Here, as a Meal Assistant, you will be challenged, develop professionally, and help make a difference, both for individuals and for the municipality as a whole. You will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful tasks and create joy around food throughout Finspång. The Meal Service actively works with internal training, including special diets. Working hours are scheduled on weekdays without public holidays.

Your future responsibilities

In Finspång Municipality, primary schools are always served two meals, one of which is vegetarian, in addition to a vegetable buffet with at least five different components. The Meal Service strives to work sustainably by reducing food waste, using organic food, and seasonal locally sourced ingredients. As a Meal Assistant in one of the Meal Service kitchens, you help create good habits among our guests by offering modern, tasty, varied, and nutritious food.

The role also involves

The work involves variety and challenges. As a Meal Assistant, you work independently and with colleagues within given frameworks and recipes. Other duties include preparing raw food, serving in the dining hall, dishwashing, self-control checks, ordering, and some local cleaning, all according to the unit's guidelines.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who:

• has a large kitchen education or experience that the employer deems equivalent
• has practical experience working in large kitchens, preschool kitchens, including special diets
• is responsible and flexible
• is solution-oriented

We place great emphasis on personal suitability for the position. You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. It is also important that you are computer literate, as many contacts are handled via email and several tasks are performed digitally.
