Industrial Blacksmith / Welder

About the Role

As a Blacksmith / Welder, you will have a varied daily routine involving manufacturing, assembly, and industrial services. One day you might be on-site with a customer taking measurements for a new project, and the next day you are manufacturing components in the workshop or assembling finished structures on location.

You work according to drawings and oral instructions, which requires you to think independently, solve problems, and find practical solutions when conditions change.

You are based in Södertälje, but the projects are located around Greater Stockholm.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Manufacturing of steel structures and custom solutions.
• Welding, primarily MMA (Stick welding).
• Assembly and industrial services on-site with customers.
• Taking measurements prior to manufacturing and assembly.
• Working according to drawings and technical documents.
• Operating workshop machinery such as press brakes, guillotine shears, rolling machines, and pillar drills.
• Contributing to high quality and safe working practices in every project.

Who are you?

You are a practical person who enjoys creating things with your hands and takes pride in well-executed work. You thrive in a role where you take individual responsibility and where problem-solving is a natural part of everyday life.

We believe you:

• have experience as a blacksmith, welder, or assembler within industry or steel.
• have good knowledge of MMA welding.
• can read and understand drawings.
• have experience with carbon steel and preferably also stainless steel.
• are accustomed to working with workshop machinery.
• are self-motivated, solution-oriented, and quality-conscious.
• enjoy working both in the workshop and on-site with customers.
• appreciate collaboration and contributing to good teamwork.

Experience with TIG or MIG/MAG is a plus, but most importantly, we are looking for someone with good MMA welding skills, the right attitude, and a desire to develop.

Requirements

• Experience as a blacksmith or welder.
• Good knowledge of MMA welding.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).
