About the workplace
Gunnarsons Specialkonditori is a classic artisan confectionery founded in 1931. We have production, a shop, and a café in the same premises on Götgatan in Stockholm. Here we produce everything from bread, wheat dough, and rolled doughs to cakes, pastries, macarons, pralines, and ice cream. We have a large assortment that we vary daily and seasonally. Production takes place in small batches. As a pastry chef, you will therefore have great variety in your tasks.
We currently have seven pastry chefs and bakers in the team. The entire company has approximately 25 permanent employees. We offer employment in a very well-functioning company with extremely friendly colleagues and dedicated managers. Enjoying your work is paramount.
About you
You are a trained pastry chef with a few years of relevant work experience. In your professional role, you are ambitious, quality-conscious, and creative. You are efficient in daily production with an eye for what needs to be prioritized. You enjoy working, jump in where needed, and give that little extra touch that makes the workday fun. You bring new ideas and enjoy developing new products. Order and precision, both in the work itself and in cleaning and hygiene, are second nature to you.
As a person, you are social, kind, and easy to get along with. You are a non-hierarchical team player who values the team's performance over individual achievements.
We work according to the keywords craftsmanship, quality, and non-hierarchy. At our place, every cake, every customer, and every meeting counts. We do everything by hand and with heart.
About the tasks
Production of cakes, pastries, and confectionery items. Baking of bread and cookies. We have a large assortment that we vary daily and seasonally. We enjoy developing new products but also frequently return to the classics.
Practical details
Working hours: weekdays usually 06:00–15:00, every other Saturday, and every fourth Sunday.
Salary and benefits according to collective agreement (Food Industry Agreement). Wellness allowance.
We apply a six-month probation period.
Possibility of company housing in central Stockholm.
