We are the Cardiology and Medicine Department at Kullbergska Hospital – a small department in a smaller hospital where a family-like atmosphere prevails. Variety is a word that describes the work on our department! No work shift is like the other.

Do you want to work in a dedicated work group where collaboration, development, and the patients' well-being are in focus? We are now looking for an Assistant Nurse for the Cardiology and Medicine Department for a permanent position. As a colleague, you will experience much, challenges but also fantastic events, strong camaraderie, and support from colleagues.

Your Responsibilities

We provide care around the clock, and we care for patients with heart diseases as well as patients with other medical diagnoses. We have the possibility for telemetry monitoring. Our operations are characterized by close collaboration between different professions to provide patients with safe and secure care. With us, you will get a broad foundation to stand on in your professional practice as an Assistant Nurse. We receive our patients from the emergency department and from other hospitals, both within the region but also from other regions.

As an Assistant Nurse, you have an important role in nursing care, and you who apply need to have a clear focus on nursing care as many of our patients have a large need for nursing care. The tasks include among other things basic and advanced nursing care, observations, blood sampling, ECG recording, and supporting patients during their care period. You actively contribute to the planning and implementation of daily care together with the rest of the team. The work is varied, and the work pace can change quickly during the work shift. That you treat colleagues, patients, and relatives with care and respect is seen as a matter of course.

As a new Assistant Nurse with us, you are offered individual induction for at least four weeks with regular check-ins as well as training. In addition, we have competence development time every other week with lectures and training.

Your Competence

You are trained as an Assistant Nurse and hold a certificate for the protected job title.

To thrive with us, you need to enjoy working in a team and in a varied pace. You are secure, stable, adapt easily to different situations, and have good cooperation skills. You plan, organize, and prioritize the workday for the patients' best interest.

You have good empathetic ability, are meticulous, and care about working with quality in a goal-oriented way. You enjoy being part of a cross-professional team with the patients in focus, where all professional groups learn from each other. You are curious, take initiative, and want to be part of developing the operations. You can prioritize and work structured even when the pace is high.

It is meritorious if you have experience from working in inpatient care previously. You have good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. We place great importance on personal qualities in the selection process.
