Do you want to help develop the future of digital information management in one of Sweden's largest authorities? Here, you will have a key role in working with electronic archives and long-term digital preservation, where you, together with engaged colleagues, contribute to secure and sustainable information governance. Together, we get Sweden to work. Do you want to join us?
The Unit's Mission
The Information Governance Unit is part of the Legal Department. The unit consists of approximately 40 employees geographically dispersed across the country. In addition to the authority's archives, the unit also houses the authority's Main Registry and a section for disclosure.
The unit's mission is to support and provide conditions for uniform, efficient, and legally secure case and information management, as well as the archiving of the authority's information. We work proactively through our governing documents, by providing support and guidance within our specialist area to the core operations and those working on the development of our systems and procedures.
Job Description
The Swedish Public Employment Service has implemented Eterna as its electronic archive system, and we have completed the initial deliveries. In close collaboration with our IT colleagues, we form an e-archiving function where we work with delivery preparation, management, care, and accessibility of our archive, as well as the development of our working methods.
Since the e-archiving system is based on open source, it requires that, as part of the Eterna community, we contribute to its further development and management, and collaborate both within the community and in other inter-authority networks.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support, guide, and specify requirements for information management in the authority's business and IT development
- Conduct appraisal and delivery investigations within the digital business systems
- Carry out delivery projects to the e-archive, including delivery preparation, validation, and quality assurance of the delivery
- Develop governing documents, processes, and procedures for the e-archive, as well as working methods within the archival field.
- Support colleagues with knowledge and competence, collaborate internally and externally, and inform and educate within the subject area.
- Participate in the development of IT support based on current regulations and established standards in the field of archival and information science.
To fit the role, we see that you have several years of experience working with information management and e-archives. You have a holistic perspective and thrive on translating regulations, standards, and business needs into sustainable solutions.
We also see that you are a confident and non-hierarchical person who sees the big picture and can translate complex issues into concrete solutions. You are good at collaborating, communicating, and creating engagement around issues related to information management and digital development.
What We Offer
The position is a permanent full-time employment that may start with a six-month probationary period. The location is Solna or Söderhamn.
We offer you the opportunity to work at a workplace where we value work-life balance. You will have access to a generous holiday agreement, flexible working hours, and the possibility to work remotely up to 49 percent annually. Our benefits also include health care during working hours and a favorable health allowance.
As an employee of the Swedish Public Employment Service, you also have access to competence development and career opportunities within the authority. Through our work, we contribute to an inclusive and sustainable society, where you have the opportunity to make a real difference for individuals and for society as a whole.
Basic Requirements for the Position
- Academic education in archival and information science of at least 30 higher education credits
- At least 3 years of experience working with digital archival and information management in the public sector
