About the Assignment
We are now looking for an Archive Consultant for a government agency in the Stockholm area. The assignment is located within the agency's archive and information management and is carried out together with experienced colleagues. The assignment arises due to a long-term absence and involves extensive work with inventorying, organizing, and cataloging the agency's archive holdings.
Your Responsibilities
As an Archive Consultant, you will work with the agency's physical archives and contribute to ensuring an orderly and accessible archive management.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Inventory of archive holdings of approximately 350 shelf meters.
- Organizing, cataloging, and reporting archive documents in archive cataloging systems.
- Labeling and structuring archive materials.
- Rectifying deficiencies in the archive holdings, for example, repacking into new archive boxes and file folders.
- Investigation and implementation of disposal when necessary.
- Support in packing and stacking archives in connection with office relocation.
- Collaboration with the agency's employees within archive and registry operations.
Your Profile
We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in archive and information management and thrive in both independent work and group collaboration. As a person, you are structured, meticulous, and quality-conscious. You work methodically and have the ability to drive your tasks forward while contributing to good collaboration with colleagues.
Qualifications
- Academic degree with a focus on archival science of at least 60 higher education credits.
- Experience in cataloging archives according to the general archive schema.
- Good knowledge of the Public Access and Secrecy Act.
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
Merits
- Experience with archive moves and handling of larger archive holdings.
Practical Information
- Assignment period: October 1, 2026, to April 15, 2027.
- Scope: Full-time.
- Location: Stockholm area.
- The workplace will move to new premises during the assignment.
- The assignment is performed primarily on-site at the agency.
