The Fortification Agency is looking for a Maintenance Technician for the Karlberg Operations District, where we work with supervision and maintenance of our properties in central Stockholm. If you want to be part of our growth, we welcome your application!

We are one of Sweden's largest property owners and experts in fortification, i.e., protection and facility technology. Our main task is to contribute to increased defense capability for a secure and free Sweden.

Your daily work – contribute to Sweden's defense capability

Region East's operations are carried out in Stockholm and Gotland counties. This position is located in the Karlberg Operations District and covers a geographical area including Stockholm and Solna. Currently, seven maintenance and property technicians work in the district.

You will work independently with the operation and maintenance of our property portfolio, with a strong focus on supervision. This also involves care, self-inspections of facilities, as well as corrective and planned maintenance of buildings, technical installations, and associated infrastructure such as heating, electrical, water/sewage, and air handling systems, as well as control, regulation, and monitoring systems. The role includes frequent contact with customers and suppliers, and working both independently and in teams. On-call duty may be included in the position. Travel within the district is part of the job.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a background as a maintenance technician or property technician, or other education at least at the upper secondary level that we consider equivalent. You have a few years of work experience in one of the following areas: electrical, control systems, piping, property operations, ventilation, or refrigeration. You have good troubleshooting skills for property technical installations and can perform repairs.

You have good knowledge of administrative IT support systems, budgeting, and you communicate and express yourself well both orally and in writing in Swedish. A driver's license, class B minimum, is required.

It is meritorious to have work experience where you have independently handled service orders, fault reports, or operational optimization, as well as troubleshooting independently or in a group. If you have work experience or competence in backup power, facility care, SBA (Swedish Building Authority regulations), explosive or flammable goods, or project experience, it is to your advantage. Having general electrical competence AB or BB1, knowledge of water treatment, plumbing, or locksmith skills is also considered meritorious.

The position is a permanent employment that may begin with a probationary period. Swedish citizenship is a requirement, as positions at the Fortification Agency are security classified.
