Your workplace

Kristinehamn offers good train and bus connections, with proximity to both larger cities and our beautiful archipelago. And for those who appreciate a refreshing morning swim, the shore of Lake Vänern is just a stone's throw away.

The health centre has 13,800 registered patients. Around 50 employees with a wide range of professions work here. We are an experienced staff group consisting of district nurses, registered nurses, assistant nurses, social workers, psychologists, PTP psychologists, healthcare administrators, and podiatrists.

We are located in fine premises in what was previously Kristinehamn Hospital. The same building also houses a laboratory, X-ray, outpatient rehabilitation with physiotherapists and occupational therapists, a primary care ward, a pharmacy, paediatrics, and public dental care – creating excellent conditions for collaboration.

The health centre is a well-functioning workplace with a strong sense of community. We work closely together and value both quality and accessibility. Your responsibilities

The duties include, among other things, telephone advice, clinic work with your own patients/own clinic. It also includes medication management and prescription of certain medications and aids, implying significant personal responsibility and the ability to work independently as well as in a team with others.

Your knowledge and competencies

We are looking for you who are trained as a district nurse or a licensed registered nurse with a few years of experience in the profession. We work with mentorship. You need to have a genuine interest in people and always keep the patient in focus. You are positive, flexible, and stable with a good ability to build relationships. You take initiative when needed and can work independently but also in a team. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

It is meritorious if you have experience from working at a health centre, clinic, or with telephone advice, as well as further education in diabetes, asthma/COPD, and dementia. We view it positively if you have an interest in further education in these areas.
