Your responsibilities

In the role of caretaker, you are responsible for contributing to a well-functioning and safe school environment where daily operations run smoothly. Duties include, but are not limited to, building maintenance, repairs and upkeep, ordering supplies, inventory management, handling alarms and keys, and work related to fire safety.

The work at the school is characterized by an inclusive approach where the students' best interests are always in focus. Therefore, it is important that you have the ability to build trusting relationships and provide professional interaction when dealing with students, colleagues, and others you meet in your daily work. You are accessible, engaged, and contribute to a safe and positive school environment.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who have completed upper secondary education, preferably with a focus on construction, electricity, plumbing, or building maintenance. You have experience in building maintenance or caretaking and are accustomed to working with ongoing maintenance, simpler repairs, and troubleshooting within the building sector. You have good technical understanding and basic knowledge of technical systems and digital tools, as well as good IT skills.

You have practical experience in building and grounds maintenance, preferably in a school environment, and understand how these environments can be managed in a sustainable and functional way. It is a plus if you have a B-driver's license for manual transmission, as well as experience in service-oriented work or work within the school sector.

As a person, you are service-oriented, collaborative, and motivated by helping others. You are secure and stable with good self-awareness and have the ability to distinguish between the personal and the professional in your interactions. You take responsibility for your work, work independently, and take initiative when needed. You adapt to the situation and contribute to a positive and professional work climate.

Additional information

The position is fixed-term from 2026-08-13 to 2026-12-18.

Before you can be employed, we conduct a background check and you need to present an approved extract from the police register.

In connection with the interview, you need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or alternatively a certificate of residence together with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.
