Here, you will have a unique opportunity to work with the communication systems of air traffic – would you like to be part of our journey into the future?
About the Role
As a system engineer, you will be offered a challenging and stimulating role in an exciting environment within our Air Navigation Services unit. While your primary focus will be on terminal systems, you will also work with air traffic control systems, as well as communication, navigation, radar, and meteorological systems. You will play a vital role in maintaining the technical safety of aviation and air traffic.
The position involves both preventive and corrective maintenance of complex and unique systems. You will also be involved in various projects related to these system groups. Below are examples of our key areas:
- Terminal systems
- IP networks and PC applications
- Radio systems
- Navigation systems
- Radar systems

- Meteorological systems
Most of the systems at the airport are unique in nature. Therefore, as a system engineer, you will undergo basic training along with several specialized advanced courses. You will work within an industry-leading organization and become part of a team of ambitious and dedicated colleagues.
You will also travel to nearby technical facilities to handle equipment outside Landvetter. The work is carried out both independently and in close collaboration with other system engineers, always adhering to current quality and safety requirements. Scheduled working hours and on-call duty are included in the role.
About You
We are looking for you who have a technical background, with at least a three-year upper secondary education in technology, or a university degree in engineering, or equivalent experience.
We see that you have experience in:
- IP networks and PC applications
- Radio technology and telecommunications
- Analog and digital electronics as well as mechanics
- Measurement technology
- Antenna systems, radio links, or transmission solutions
- Operation and maintenance of technical systems
Experience with airport or aviation systems, as well as electrical engineering competence, is a plus.
You have good proficiency in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. A valid manual category B driving license is required for the role, and you may need to be certified for tower/mast climbing.
As a person, you have a strong interest in technology and thrive in a role where you take responsibility and contribute to vital societal operations. You are proactive, structured, and work well in teams. Your work is characterized by quality, safety, and high service standards.
