What You Will Do
The future is here, and we are transitioning toward sustainable production with diversity and lean principles as our key drivers. We are embarking on an exciting digitalization journey to optimize maintenance of our production equipment, where you, in the role of electrician, will become a key player for the future. We are now looking for you who are driven by working with maintenance and continuous improvement of our production equipment.
The Umeå plant is one of Volvo Group’s largest factories. With our 1,800 employees, we are one of Norrland’s largest industrial employers. Here, cabins for Volvo Trucks are produced, from steel coils to painted cabins. The operation is one of the most advanced in the world, featuring cutting-edge technology and highly skilled employees, with a high degree of automation that is constantly evolving. Maintenance Mechanic
In this important role as Maintenance Mechanic, you will primarily focus on ensuring the operational reliability of production equipment by performing both preventive and corrective maintenance through repairs and troubleshooting. Your responsibilities also include analyzing technical disruptions and participating in continuous improvement projects involving installations and modifications to maintain and enhance plant status. You will also instruct and train personnel in these areas. By participating in process teams, you will support other production units within the Body-in-White (BIW) area.
Who Are You?
We believe you are communicative, have strong collaboration skills, and are service-oriented with a strong customer focus. You work in a structured and solution-oriented manner and are open to change. Furthermore, you possess excellent problem-solving skills, high drive, and the ability to work independently when required.
We Are Looking For Someone With
- Knowledge and experience in mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and lubrication technology.
- An education equivalent to at least a 3-year upper secondary industrial program or equivalent post-secondary education.
- Ability to read technical drawings for troubleshooting mechanical components.
- Good computer skills (Office 365).
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
Additional Information
Working hours: Full-time according to current shift system (4-shift rotation)
Agreement area: Technical Agreement with IF Metall
Start date: As agreed
