APL, Apotek Produktion & Laboratorier AB, is responsible for manufacturing extemporaneous medicines, which are individualized medications for a single patient, with the aim of improving and saving lives. Many preparations are made for children and adults with various types of hypersensitivity. APL is state-owned and one of Europe's largest manufacturers of extemporaneous medicines. It is also an established contract manufacturer within the life science industry, with resources for the development, production, and analysis of medicines. APL's approximately 600 employees work at five production units in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Umeå, and Strängnäs.

The Position

At our production facility in Umeå, sterile medicines are manufactured with high demands regarding hygiene, production equipment, premises, and processes. All production is carried out according to the quality system GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).

We are now looking for a Pharmaceutical Technician for the Mixing/Filling group.

Responsibilities

Within the Mixing/Filling department, the work primarily consists of filling sterile medicines in cleanroom classes B and C. The tasks are performed manually or using various filling machines.

You will be part of a team where your participation contributes to creating improvements that develop our operations.

We place great emphasis on continuous improvement as part of daily work and our path forward. You will also help develop instructions, assist in deviation investigations, and perform other tasks that may arise within production.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a high school education, preferably with a technical or scientific focus.
  • Has technical/practical knowledge and interest.
  • Is meticulous and quality-oriented, with good documentation skills.
  • Thrives in organized environments and with standardized working methods.
  • Speaks and writes Swedish fluently, as this is a requirement.

The following are considered meritorious:

  • Experience in small-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing or within the food industry.
  • Experience with LEAN.
  • Knowledge of GMP.

Our operations have very high requirements for hygiene and quality. Therefore, it is important that you are meticulous, structured, have a sense of personal responsibility, and can work according to existing rules and routines. Good teamwork skills and a solution-focused approach are essential.
