About the Role

The Social Services Department in Askersund Municipality is responsible for elderly care, LSS (support and service for people with disabilities) and care operations, social psychiatry, services for unaccompanied refugee children, and individual and family care. We are currently hiring 4 hourly substitute positions.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for individuals with a genuine passion for working with people to join our healthcare, elderly care, and disability support teams. In all our operations, your primary goal is to help others thrive. You will achieve this through social activities, daily living support, and personal care. Main responsibilities include:

• Providing personalized care and support tailored to individual needs.
• Working independently and taking ownership of your tasks.
• Documenting in care plans and operational systems.
• Collaborating effectively within teams and across professional disciplines.
• Working person-centred and rehabilitatively.
• Carrying out health and medical tasks according to prescriptions and delegation agreements.

Hiring will be based on the specific needs of each department.

Requirements & Qualifications

We are looking for a confident and dedicated care assistant or auxiliary nurse with drive and a proactive attitude, who wants to contribute to residents' safe and secure daily lives. Relevant experience is a plus.

Ideal candidates will:

• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Hold formal qualifications as an auxiliary nurse (undersköterska) or care assistant, or have equivalent relevant experience.
• Have a genuine interest in working with people and a strong desire to make a positive difference.
• Demonstrate empathy and excellent interpersonal skills towards residents, relatives, colleagues, other professionals, and management.
• Be responsible, flexible, and eager to learn.
• Fluently speak and write Swedish, as it is our workplace language. Many tasks require clear communication, the ability to follow instructions, and accurately relay information. You will interact with people from diverse linguistic backgrounds and are expected to contribute your skills positively and constructively.
• Be proficient in computer operations.
• Thrive both independently and as part of a team.

The role can be physically and mentally demanding, requiring good health. Personal suitability is highly prioritized. A Swedish police certificate (utdrag ur belastningsregistret) must be presented upon offer. A B-class driver's license and cycling ability are required for some positions.
