Perhaps you are the person we are looking for at Lagmansgymnasiet's Industrial Technology program with a specialization in Product and Mechanical Engineering (PRM). We are currently undergoing reorganization, and the position is primarily a part-time fixed-term appointment for the upcoming academic year. According to the schedule, teaching takes place on Monday and Tuesday afternoons, as well as Fridays. If you currently work in the industry and have the experience and skills we are looking for, this could be an opportunity to try the role of a vocational teacher. Your Role

The role requires good teamwork skills and the ability to create and maintain a positive and professional working climate with both colleagues and high school students. Mentoring and contact with guardians are part of the assignment.

Your Knowledge and Experience

We are looking for a qualified employee with broad competence in manufacturing and working with industrial equipment. You have knowledge of CNC turning and milling, reading technical drawings, CAD, and machining in manual lathes and milling machines.

We would appreciate it if you also have competence in automation, robotics, operation and maintenance, as well as material and production control.

We would appreciate it if you have a teaching license, but we place great emphasis on personal qualities. You are pedagogical, structured, and responsible, and have good communication skills. You are flexible, solution-oriented, and have a genuine interest in working with young people based on their different prerequisites and contributing to their development. Furthermore, you are proactive and have the ability to work both independently and in teams.

Your Future Workplace

Lagmansgymnasiet is a medium-sized school with ten high school programs. During the 2025/2026 academic year, there are approximately 480 students at the school. The school is led by two principals who are each responsible for five programs.

At Lagmansgymnasiet, there is a good atmosphere and a good contact between students and staff. We actively work to create the best possible study and work environment. Everyone is seen at Lagmansgymnasiet! The school is Erasmus accredited, which enables students to go on study trips and school staff to have the opportunity for courses and job shadowing.

Lagmansgymnasiet has a strong connection to business and industry in Vara Municipality and is part of Teknik College. Teknik College is a collaboration between companies, municipalities, and education coordinators aimed at increasing the status and quality of industry-relevant education.

You need to have a driver's license to be able to make study visits with students or visit APL (workplace-based learning) locations.

A teaching license is a requirement for a permanent position as a teacher.
