Job Description

As a care assistant for Home Care West, you play a key role in providing care and support to our service users in their own homes. Thanks to your work, the service user can maintain their lifestyle and uphold a high quality of life in their home environment. In your role, you strive to create a meaningful everyday life for each individual, adapted to their unique needs. This may include personal care, help with meals, cleaning, shopping, and medication administration according to delegation from the responsible nurse.

An important part of the position is also to be a dedicated care contact, where the service user's influence and participation are central based on the approved intervention. You are responsible for creating implementation plans for the service users you have dedicated care contact for, and ensuring that care interventions are carried out and continuously evaluated. Documentation via digital tools is also part of the daily work.

You will become part of a tight-knit team where we collaborate closely, both with colleagues and with nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, administrators, and unit managers. In the work, you will use car and bicycle as means of transport.

Qualifications

To our team, we are looking for you who are trained as a care assistant and have or are waiting for the professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare. You should have good cooperation skills and be sensitive to the service user's needs and wishes. You should find it easy to meet and communicate with people as well as see the individual person. Flexibility and responsibility are seen as important qualities in our team.

You must have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, and good computer skills. Previous experience within home care is meritorious.

Requirements: B-driver's license and bicycle proficiency.

You must be able to present a valid extract from the Swedish Police Authority's register of convictions regarding work in activities other than schools or preschools.
