The Workplace

Strandbacken is a special housing facility for elderly persons located in the community of Nordmaling, approximately 1 km from the center. Strandbacken consists of two buildings containing, among other things, 9 residential units and a rehab department. Åsen is a department with 13 resident rooms.

The Role and Responsibilities

As a care assistant, you provide good nursing care and social support to our residents according to decisions and individual implementation plans. You should help and support the resident in daily life to promote functional ability. With good treatment, high service level, and engagement, you adapt your work to the needs of each individual.

You are expected to create calm and meaning, as well as work for well-being and security for our residents. Delegated tasks from the municipality's HSL unit are included, as well as continuous written documentation.

We work in teams and help each other in daily work. Together, we continuously develop and improve our operations.

Your Profile

The requirement for working as a care assistant is that you have a care assistant education.

To communicate with those living at Strandbacken, their relatives, colleagues, write and read care documentation, and receive medication delegation, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Experience working with a focus on the elderly and dementia, as well as computer literacy, is meritorious.

We are looking for you who have a professional attitude characterized by good treatment and an interest in helping and supporting others. The work requires flexibility, integrity, good cooperation skills, good judgment, structure, as well as being service-oriented and having personal maturity.

The Employment

Before employment as a care assistant in special housing and home care, an extract from the criminal record must be presented in accordance with current legislation. The extract must be presented to the employer before the employment begins to ensure safety and security for our elderly.

Other

In elderly care, we strive to have employed staff with the following language profiles: Finnish, Yiddish, Meänkieli, Romani Chib, and Sami. We would like you, as an applicant, to have knowledge of one or more of these languages.
