We believe that progress and opportunities are best created together. Welcome to a place where collaboration makes a difference.
Your Role
We are currently recruiting engineers for future submarine projects. This is a key role within maintenance engineering, where you ensure that advanced systems not only work on paper, but in reality.
You work with analyses that make our submarines reliable, available, and maintainable over time. This involves everything from maintenance planning and spare parts to understanding how the systems are actually used.
You collaborate closely with designers, system developers, and customers – following the vessel from design through to operation.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct analyses for operational safety, maintenance, and life-cycle cost.
- Develop maintenance plans and dimension spare parts.
- Work closely with designers, system developers, and customers.
- Ensure that systems function efficiently throughout their entire lifespan.
You will become part of the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) function, which works to ensure that the ship's systems and components maintain high quality, are easy to maintain, and that the right spare parts, tools, and documentation are available. A key part of the operation is also ensuring that the crew receives the necessary training.
Your Profile
The role requires broad technical understanding. To succeed and thrive, you have at least five years of experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Logistics Engineering
- RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Supportability)
- Systems Engineering
- Maintenance planning/management
- Asset Management
- Obsolescence Management
Experience with programming and database management is also a plus. As a person, you are structured and analytical, with strong collaborative skills.
Qualifications:
- Master of Science degree in fields such as Maintenance Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Space Technology, Industrial Economics, Risk and Safety – or another related field.
- Excellent proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance process according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
